land acknowledgement
We honor that One Art stands on Lenapehoking, the ancestral homeland of the Lenni-Lenape people.
We acknowledge the generations who cared for this land long before Philadelphia existed, and those who were violently displaced so others could claim it. We recognize that this land carries memory, wisdom, and spirit. We name the ongoing struggles of Indigenous peoples and affirm our responsibility to move with respect, reciprocity, and repair. May our work here reflect gratitude. May our community embody stewardship. May we walk in a way that honors the ancestors and prepares a place for those children who are yet to come
