About the event

Moving Through Loss is a grief support group for adults who have experienced stigmatized loss i.e. grief resulting from a death that is devalued, marginalized, or not openly acknowledged by society. The group will focus on the various aspects of grief, how grief is experienced in the body and how to learn to cope with debilitating loss.

The group will be led by a somatic psychotherapist from Philly HEALs, Jonathan van Arneman, R-DMT, LAPC, and will meet every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 pm. On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, the group will be held in person at One Art Community Center in West Philly (1431-39 N 52nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19131). On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, the group will be held virtually via Zoom. This group is drop-in friendly for both virtual and in-person sessions but consistent participation is recommended.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the facilitator, Jonathan van Arneman at jonathan.arneman@phila.gov
